I LOVE Christmas and the holidays surrounding it! While I LOVE decorating for the holidays, I hate that I have to rush it in a week span. Have you seen the meme where an elf kills a reindeer for every Christmas tree put up before Thanksgiving? I may be sacrificing one of them.
Christmas is the holiday that I have the MOST decor for. It takes a lot of time and effort to decorate, only to be torn down less than 30 days later. But alas, that is what we do.
One of my favorite places to get inspiration every year for the holidays decorating season is Nell Hills. I LOVE their decor during any season, but ESPECIALLY during the holidays.
Mary Carol (owner) and her crew go ALL out.
I have a Nell Hills folder of photos where I keep inspiration from her store. While I'm sad that the Atchison store closed down, I'm excited because that's just more emphasis and focus she's putting on the Briar Cliff location!

She's got figs and ever greens hanging from ceilings, frosted branches coming out of the walls - all in amazing taste.
Today, I'm sharing with you some of my favorites from last year and this year! Some of the photos were taken at her Atchison store last year. Forewarning, these are iPhone photos and I suck at taking photos with my iPhone. So, I apologize in advance.

When you arrive at the store, you can't help but stand in awe of how she decorates her urns for the season. One of the store clerks told me once that she has a team that goes out and looks for "good" branches, especially birch branches. They keep a bunch of them on hand to decorate. Just wait for the next few photos to see them in action.

This Christmas tree that I saw this year was amazing. Look at it. Tell me what stands out to you. If you love the glistening of snow on a Christmas tree, check out how I DIY snow on Christmas tree - it was an easy project that I was able to complete over a weekend!

Could it possibly be that TRAY holding that VASE inside the TREE?

WTF...who comes up with these amazing ideas?! While its definitely not practical in my house with kids today, I may try this one day when they are older. Here's the matching mantel to that room:

I know, I started off with her neutral decor. Here's some other neutral tree decor:

And lest not I forget the matching mantel.

Here's a table they had that was in an adjoining room with a similar theme. I love the urn in the middle as a centerpiece.

You know I love neutrals. But, some of y'all love COLOR. LIke red...for Christmas. Look what they got y'all.
Here's a smaller tree out front. Do you see that sled in the top right hanging from the ceiling? Yeah...

While we are at it, let's hang some awesome lanterns from greenery.

Here's another view of a different tree with a similar theme:

Here is another vignette they had in another room. I LOVE that red on the mantel. I'm OBSESSED with those chairs. Just so you know, each chair will run you about $1200. Sometimes, they run a sale on furniture for 20% off. (Sigh.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the plaid pillows on them too. I NEED those chairs!

Here's a closeup of the mantel. That "Merry Christmas" ribbon will run you about $20, but I'm sure you can find some similar ones at Hobby Lobby more than half that. Those BELLS hanging from the mantel are super inexpensive. I got a few of those for under $10. They are super cute and I doubt you will find them anywhere else with that quality and cuteness!

Of course, you have to match the decor to the dining area!
I love how this buffet is decorated. The vase with the exploding frosted branches. Love love!

For those wanting it to be more feminine, here's a cute mantel with a splash of pink. I LOVE the pearls hanging from them!

And if you haven't visited Nell Hills, I want to show you the amazingness of the room that sits between their showroom, staircase and registers. This area is typically the BEST decorated room. I say that only because I'm in awe of what they are able to hang from the ceilings!

Seriously, that is all faux floral. Can you believe that?!

This is pretty much ridiculously awesome.

The staircase railings are typically lit up beautifully or decorated gorgeously leading up to the second floor.
The below pictures are from their Atchison store last year (which is now closed). Just wanted to share some other ideas I had stashed from them 🙂

I'm loving how they decorated a collection of white pots on top of this bookcase.
I'm loving this old breadbasket that is holding ribbon ornaments! I tried DIYing these, but ended up spending way too much money to try to achieve the same look. Sometimes, you are better off buying them.

I also love how she used these chalkboards to decorate the mantel with greenery!

Another angle.
So there you have it. My love affair with Nell Hills and their Christmas decor. Have you shopped here before? If so, what are you in awe of?
