I cannot believe we are already 20 days into the new year! Today, I'm sharing with you our home decor project roundup of my favorites from 2015 that we've done for our home. In writing this post, I'm hoping to inspire the hubs to get on board to finish my honey list I have set out for him..I mean, me.
DIY Rustic Woodland Boy Nursery Wall Art. With a little help from the hubs, we were able to use some pallet wood that I scored off of Craigslist to make a set of super cute handmade wall art for our new baby boy's nursery.
DIY Giant Arrow Growth Chart. My goal was to add to the theme of rustic for Conrad's nursery. I loved how this DIY growth chart shaped as an arrow turned out. A little bit of painting and sanding made it "rustic" for a woodland themed room. You can see how well it complements the project previously!
Wall Stripes for a Girl's Bedroom. Even though her room was the first area in our home that we would decorate, we still have yet to finish it to this day! However, I did have a vision for her room. First up, it would be to stripe her focal wall where her headboard sits. I shared some of our tips and tricks on how to paint straight stripes in this post.
DIY Large Paper Flower Wall Art. Next, we were able to dress up her wall with some large DIY paper flower crafts. I just loved how this turned out. With a limited budget, we made paper flowers for under $30, which turned out amazing!
DIY Slide Out Trash Can. This is one of our best home decor / functional projects to date. I hated how our trash cans looked sitting out, so we repurposed a cabinet next to the kitchen sink to make a slide out trash and recycle bin!
Foyer Wall Collage. It pays to layout your collage prior to making holes in the wall. Trust me on this, learn from my mistakes. Read the post on tips on how to hang your own wall collage right the first time.
Breakfast Nook. I waited three years to get a family dinner table! We had been eating at the kitchen counter since moving into our home.
Rustic Luxe Christmas Decor. My decor for the holidays prior to this year has been ho-hum. This year, I was able to invest in some key, traditional pieces this year (like garland and swag), as well as these amazing orbs.
