The week before Easter is a GREAT time to start sweet potatoes. Which means that its an awesome gift for your gardener along with their Easter basket and trying your hand at being a green thumb!
Starting a Sweet Potato for Your Gardener
1. Put three toothpicks in a sweet potato.
2. Stick the sweet potato in a glass of water, with the toothpicks holding it inside the glass.
3. Constantly keep water on it. It will take 1-2 weeks to sprout.
4. Once you get root growth, plant it in good potting soil in a separate pot.
3. Give it to your gardener for Easter!
