Halloween is almost here guys! Can you believe it? We're going to need to stock up on candy soon!

My chubbywubs will be celebrating his first Halloween this year. I'm so stinkin' excited. I really wanted to do a family theme this year (like characters in the same movie or show), but the hubs was not having it. I'm pretty good at convincing I think...we shall see.

In the mean time, one of my amazingly talented friends from college sent me this cute outfit/costume for Conrad that will be just darling for Halloween. As you all know, my husband is an avid outdoorsman and with opening season here, this is well timed. How stinkin' cute is this deer outfit for Halloweeen?! It'll be so great for an indoor party 🙂 I'm going to show you how I'm documenting his first Halloween coupled with a cute little matching project that you can do too!

Not the best photo "face" below, but still stinkin' cute if I do say so myself!

And then, I had to grab a photo with his friend, The Moose. Oh my gosh - he's got "crazy eyes" like his sister!

    Directions for a Deer Print

    Supplies

    Brown and White Paint
    Construction Paper
    Paper Plate for Paint
    Little fingers and toes

If you have a baby under six months, make sure they are nice and sleepy.

Get out non-toxic, washable brown and white paint. For the deer face, you'll need to use a sponge brush to brush on the brown paint on your sleepy one's foot.

Next, mix white and brown paint together to make a tan color. These will be the antlers. This is the hardest part in terms of baby. You'll need to make sure baby is not "fisting" in order to get the tan paint on.

Do it twice above the foot. Draw two eye balls, the nose as an upside down triangle, and add in a little grass. Ta-da! I wouldn't draw too much behind it, as you want the focus to be of the print!

Make sure you date it with a name. Done! Easy...and the baby is still asleep right? 😉 And clean up those little fingers with some Huggies wipes.

    Other Halloween Hand Print Projects

In the event you don't have a deer costume, you could also do some other Halloween related prints such as a scarecrow, acorn, witch, and spiders!

Our girls LOVED playing with paint and making these prints!

And, if you haven't done your Halloween decor yet, it would be a great time to decorate your home by displaying your children's Halloween artwork! Its such an inexpensive, yet unique and beautiful way to showcase your family around the home!
