This year, winter is overstaying its welcome. I am ready for spring! If I’m quite honest, I’ve been trying to take down our Christmas wreath from our mantel – since, well, Christmas. When I’m swapping out décor, I cannot help but think about new pieces to add to my home.
I get a lot of questions on my strategies for how to find great deals for home décor as well as the best places to find great pieces. I have a Pinterest board for every room in my house. When I’m needing inspiration, I’ll go to that board (follow me [HERE] on it).
Forewarning, I’m typically drawn to very expensive pieces! But, I rarely have the budget for that. One of the first places I will look for an amazing deal for name brands is on eBay. Yep. No matter your budget, you can typically find a great value at the fraction of the MSRP.

Pottery Barn Slipcovers. I have talked at length about my love of slipcovers for my beloved sofa. After my kids start coloring on them with markers and spilling food, (machine washing doesn’t get out their art), I typically buy a new one on eBay for a fraction of the price. I’ve purchased name brand fitted slipcovers as well as custom fit slipcovers in my own fabric choice with free shipping!
I’ve been able to find patterned slipcovers as well.
Modern Farmhouse Picture Frames. I’ve never been 100% happy with my foyer wall until now. eBay’s category pages and curated events made it easy for me to gather up ideas for my Pinterest board and my shopping list. I settled on some gold frames with black & white photos of our family.
Galvanized Buckets, Garden Boxes and Crocks. Galvanized planter buckets are the perfect fit for any cottage style home! There are so many things you could store, including real plants, faux plants, pens, pencils and so much more to keep organized. I use crocks to store kitchen utensils and art supplies.
Farmhouse Style Pillows. I was looking on eBay tonight for some pillows for my girls’ bedrooms, and got side tracked and found some buffalo print and grain sack pillows! If I didn’t have a ton of them already, I would buy more. I couldn’t keep these deals to myself though. If you are wanting grain sack pillows, eBay might be your best bet for an amazing value.
Accessories and Décor. Not only can I find big items, I can also find small filler items for the home as well! For instance, glass jars inside a wooden box holder. Or lamps and faux books!
Rugs Galore. Yes, you can find RUGS on eBay! Seriously. Big rugs, small rugs, jute rugs, natural rugs, patterned rugs – all with that farmhouse flair! eBay has over 900k rugs, and 800k (90%) ship for free.
