I have had Tieks for a few years now, so I wanted to answer some questions I often get on Tieks sizing. Different material requires different sizing.
The most common question I get around my favorite pair of flats are Tieks sizing and when Tieks go on sale. I'm here to give you the scoop!
You are probably wondering if I'm some sort of brand ambassador or saleswoman or if this is a sponsored post. None of the above, I am just a lover of these fabulous shoes! This post does contain affiliate links, which just means you are helping a small blogger like me out and won't pay any extra for them!
While my previous review still holds true, I wanted a separate post to give you an update on my new experience with ordering from their Vegan line as well. Let's answer those questions!
Tieks Sizing
Tieks sizing is pretty simple. If you are a whole size, get that size. If you are a half size, round up! They do take a while to break in depending on which line you purchase (see Tieks Classic versus Vegan headline below). But overall, the rule of thumb is to round up if you are a half size.
Tieks Discounts
There are none. Not even on Black Friday. Tieks do not have Black Friday sales. Ba-humbug. They do come out with a new color sometimes (like 2016 was a champagne color).
Tieks Classic versus Vegan
If you are already sold on a pair of Tieks and are wondering which of their lines to order from, here are my tips. Please note that while these sound like cons, I just want you to know that I wear these almost EVERY day. Which means that these shoes get a lot of wear and tear. Like literally every day.
1. "Breaking In" time. Tieks Classic line took 3 days. Tieks Vegan line took 3 weeks. Most of the breaking in was because of my big toe! I feel like the vegan line is made of fabric, and fabric takes a longer time to stretch than leather. However, I will say that I LOVE my vegan ones more in terms of design and texture. The pair in the image is called "Silver Lake". I literally adore them. My next pair might be the "Brentwood" which is a brown version of them.
2. Tearing at the seams. Again, I wear these ALL THE TIME. I did find that my Tieks Vegan pair did start tearing near the back where the seam is. My classic pairs never had this problem.
3. Smelly feet. Okay, this might just be a personal thing. I find that my feet are more smelly with the classic line than the vegan line. However, this can be all fixed by spraying your feet with deodorant aerosol spray before putting them on. The below image are the Tieks Classic Cream - they are gorgeous!
3. Fabric piling and leather scuffing. So far, there is no fabric piling. I will say that with the images they have, it looks like its super soft fabric, but it turns out that it is VERY durable fabric. I would almost compare it to outdoor patio cushion fabric. Leather scuffing is an issue with my classic pair, but I feel like I'm the only one with this problem - I have this problem with ALL my shoes. When I talk to other Tieks lovers, they have no problem with this at all. However, when I take them to the shoe repair store, for $15, they are literally as good as new!
Are Tieks Worth The Price
I know the price is a hard pill to swallow, but they are SO worth it. I've heard others say they could get a pair of Tory Burch(s) for the same price. However, I have been told they are not quite as comfortable and can rub on your heels. You could probably get fifteen pair of Target flats for the same price. But I am telling you, these are the most comfortable flats EVER. There are also Yosi Samra flats that I've heard great things about in terms of comfort, but they aren't my cup of tea in terms of style.
Tieks Comfort
As a weekend wedding photographer, I'm sometimes on my feet for 12 hours straight. So I would say 14 hours total. Yes, crazy. And they are still comfy at the end of the night!
There you have it - a comparison of the Tieks Classic and Tieks Vegan as well as some questions I often get asked! I know you will love them. I have already convinced a few people (even some penny pinchers), and they have no regrets! Seriously, go buy a pair from Tieks.com.
Feel free to ask me any questions below on these Tieks flats.

Great review, those Tieks look great on you. I bought my friend a pair of the California navy Tieks during my recent vacation in the United States (it costs too much to ship to Canada ). He figured he'd need a size 11. It's great that Tieks are made up to size 13 so us guys can also get in on the comfort and cuteness of these flats. I tried his 11 on but they didn't feel right. I suspect a 10 would be too tight. The 11's fit my friend perfect and they look great on him.
Thanks for sharing your review.

Thanks so much Maya! So exciting about your first vegan pair. I'm sure you will love it like I love mine!

Thanks for posting! I am devoted Tieks girl too and put mine through their fair share of wear! I have been looking at Brentwood or maybe even Sunset Stripe as my first vegan pair.
