While recipes are very helpful to follow and give us inspiring ideas, you also need to take care to pay attention to how things cook and adjust accordingly. Recipes vary depending on altitude, equipment used, weight or size of ingredients etc.

What can I do with only a 2 slice toaster?

Do not use 1/2 cup of parsley. It was way too much for 8 tablespoons of butter. I would say maybe a 1/4 cup.
