This is a Halloween Costume Survival Kit that you can use to prepare for a night out with your kids!

With two girls in dance and gymnastics, we’ve had our fair share of wardrobe malfunctions! I’ve also witnessed many of these in my weekend warrior career as a wedding photographer. Once, I had a bridesmaid’s zipper that broke, so she braved it and went partially backless! Whatever the wardrobe dilemma, I’m sharing a few ways to be prepared with my favorite wardrobe solutions.

One I wanted to call out is the Scotch™ Essentials line, which makes unpredictable situations a little easier. With Halloween just around the corner, I just had a feeling that I would find something wrong with the costumes.

Last year, it was that the costumes were  warm enough.

This year, my baby boy was going as a hatching dinosaur egg, and his little bottom portion of the egg was catching all sorts of corners.

With the Scotch™ Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips, I was able to secure his little egg behind.

These surprise incidences are not just localized to Halloween costumes, but are bound to happen at weddings or recitals as well.

Below, I’m sharing the essentials to include as a survival kit on these three big events! And if you are wanting to shop for some, here’s a list of my favorite toddler boy halloween costumes I’ve curated for my own little boy!

Steps

1. Grab the supplies above.

2. Find a container to fit all of it in. For the perfectionist in me, I have the same size and color container for my other survival kits (think soccer, holiday travel). The Scotch™ Essentials Wardrobe Tape Strips come in a little carrying case that is perfect for tossing into your kit!

3. Transport them in a roller bag or keep them in your stow away cargo in your vehicle!

Check out Walmart for some great ideas to provide that extra security for your Halloween costumes, dance recitals or the big day!

Check out my post on the DIY firetruck costume that I made for my son for Halloween one year, which turned out extra cute!
