FROZEN with the Color Orange with a DIY FROZEN Banner Decor

Aubrey turned three years old this past weekend! Since we are throwing all of our children a three way birthday party in August, we decided to celebrate Aubrey's with a mini-party! When asked what the theme of her party should be, she said "FROZEN with the color orange".

FROZEN...with the color orange? I was very confused. But...challenge accepted. I guess that's what happens when you ask a soon-to-be three year old what she wanted for her birthday.

Not being one to disappoint, I got an orange extra large cupcake from a local bakery. For the other supplies, I picked up the FROZEN-branded AMERICAN GREETINGS tiara, napkins, plates, cups, and cake topper.

The day of her birthday, I found some other blue and purple items around the house along with some winter decor to dress up their table. This is what I came up with - not too shabby:

I think Aubrey thoroughly enjoyed her mini-party. FROZEN is near and dear to our hearts because both of our girls are 13.5 months apart, and the movie showcases the love of two sisters! The shawl that Aubrey is wearing was made by their great-grandma last year for Christmas. It totally matched the FROZEN colors!

However, I did kick myself because I WISH I would have thought about what I'm going to show you - a DIY FROZEN-themed Banner. You know how hindsight is 20-20? This was one of those moments. Anyway, you should steal my idea - because it is super easy to make!

    SUPPLIES

    • FROZEN-themed napkins
    • Extra wide bias tape
    • Sewing machine
    • Scissors

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Cut the napkins into squares (where the folds are)

    2. Decide on how long you want the banner as well as what pattern you want the squares to be in.

    3. Unfold the bias tape and put the napkin between it.

    4. Sew the napkin into the bias tape. Repeat inserting the napkin into the bias tape.

    5. Your finished product...doesn't it look awesome?

This is what it looks like in their playroom! It makes for some awesome decor!
