With our third baby well under way, I’ve been nesting and getting things settled for baby’s arrival in June! I’ve been doing some “Spring Cleaning” already.
What that means for this baby is that I’m dusting off some of the more awesome baby gear that I’ve stored. As a mom who’s been through this, I’ve only kept the baby gear that I know are tried and true. Other items (like wipe warmers) I dumped.
One product that I have kept since the first baby is my all time favorite infant carrier. I must admit – I plan on using the SAME infant carrier (the Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat & Base) that I used for both girls. That should tell you how amazing this system is already!
True story: Ryan and I went to get our Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat checked out to ensure that we installed it right for baby number one (you do everything by the book with the first baby). The nurse who was checking the installation said, “This is the Cadillac of all infant car seats.” I beamed with pride.

What made it more amazing was how the Keyfit 30 Base works. All you do is click a button on the back of the carrier, and it unclicks the carrier! Not only that, what made it convenient was that Ryan, my mom, and my mother-in-law were all able to get a base. I can’t begin to tell you how often it wasn’t me that was picking up my kiddos – so it was very very convenient for me to leave the carrier at daycare and all they would need was the base to snap the carrier in and go! (The dollar savings in not needing to get another carrier was also a plus.)
