There are so many things to do with Cricut, and one of them is creating beautiful labels. With Cricut, labels may be made in any size and color, and the font can be changed easily.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I purchased bulk vinyl thinking I'd have a weekend to work on labels. I purchased the WRONG vinyl because the pens and markers were used on permanent non-writable vinyl that made my labels smear. You should be sure to NOT confuse these two vinyls below.
Cricut vinyl comes in a variety of flavors: heat transfer, permanent vinyl, removable vinyl, and permanent writable vinyl.

Here are some options for writable vinyl that I've collected that include Cricut brand and off-brand versions (often advertised as matte vinyl) that will allow you to use markers and pens with your crafting machines.

Using a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, you can use Cricut Design Space to go through an extensive library of pre-designed projects such as labels. If you have a Silhouette Cameo, you can do the same thing!

Cricut Design Space has a simple interface, user-friendly and easy to use for making labels. To make your labels using the Design Space, type out the texts you want to put on your labels and select your designed font from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. Choose from a collection of free and paid fonts included with Cricut Design Space, or load your own.

- Prepare your supplies. If you don’t have Cricut Design Space yet, you can download it on your laptop or mobile.
- You need to figure out how much space there is on your storage bins. Measure it with a ruler.
- Create your Design in Cricut Design Space (or use this free label design).
- Print the labels you need to put on your storage. If you use Cricut Smart Vinyl, there’s no need to use a cutting mat. Otherwise, it would be best to use a sticky or cutting mat. You can only use without mat options if you use Cricut Smart Materials Only.
- Use the weeding tools and scissors to remove excess vinyl in your design.
- Place your vinyl labels on your storage containers and totes.
