Materials & Tools

– Rustoleum Black Chalk Paint – Gray Paint – Light Blue Paint – Wall Decals – Brayer for Decals – Paint Brushes – Paint Trays – Paint Towels

Step 1

If you need to separate the chalk paint from the mural, add a chair rail to the area.

Step 2

Paint the room's trim to match the rest of the room. Below the chair rail, use gray paint. Next, put two coats of black chalk paint on the wall.

Step 3

Next, paint above the chair rail a light color blue to mimic the sky. Allow it to dry overnight.

Step 4

Use decals on the wall by using the brayer to carefully peel off the sticker.
