Cleaning Routine with a New Baby Going to Daycare

Although I'm only halfway into my maternity leave right now, I'm already preparing for my first day back at work. So far I have caught up on emails, planned the next two months worth of dinner, and listed out my "don't forget" list for my morning routine with the kids.

The time I go back to work coincides with sick/flu season. Gah! With a new baby going to daycare/school this fall, I'm also ultimately preparing for the call from the teacher to come pick up baby because he will be sick. It's going to happen, no matter how much I prepare for it. Kids in close quarters are a giant ICK-ubator! However, I'm going to be doing my best to prevent this from happening.

I'm also really sadden that we had to get rid of our cleaning service that came by every other week due to budget constraints because now we're paying three full-time daycare payments! So cleaning will definitely need to be part of our routine when I go back to work. I hate a messy house.

Part of my germ preventing/cleaning routine will be to use Clorox Disinfecting Wipes because (1) they kill 99.9% of germs and viruses that cause cold and flu and (2) I can wipe and throw away - I'm all for ease these days. Using the wipes is soooo much better than using a rag and having the potential to spread germs to other surfaces.

For example, this is the table that my children use for their art projects. Its pretty nasty isn't it?

With a little elbow grease and use of the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, it looks brand new!

I also use these wipes in their playroom often! In a few months when my baby boy is able to crawl, I'll definitely need to sift through the playroom for small toy parts as well as wiping down anything and everything he could possibly put in his mouth! For the toys, I'll probably use the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes and then go over it with a rag with water on it!

My girls somehow manage to get their little fingermarks on every part of our house. I'm not sure what goes through a toddler's head, but it seems as if they say to themselves "lets touch every surface area possible". The worst are the windows because you can see that from the outside! Thankfully, Clorox Disinfecting Wipes have a clear-drying formula that will be awesome to use on windows, mirrors, and other shiny areas that are prone to those little fingermarks sticking.

I also keep in stock Clorox's On the Go wipes so I have some on hand in the car. I'll be honest, I let me kids snack in the car. Their car seats are pretty disgusting. I love taking these wipes out and doing a quick clean (typically right before Ryan gets in the car so I don't have to hear about how gross the car is). Pretty handy!

While I'm on the topic, there is a Cartwheel offer for Clorox Disinfecting Wipes from July 19 - August 1 that provides a savings of 5% at Target. Now is a great time to add the wipes to your back-to-school shopping list and to stock up on these for yourselves! You can find it in Target's cleaning aisle:

Just as a friendly nudge, I know any teacher would welcome a donation of these germ preventing wipes!

What's your cleaning routine? Are Clorox Disinfecting Wipes on your back-to-school shopping list?

I totally agree that Clorox is a great cleaner. I always prefer using their products instead of other cleaning products. I definitely got the results I desire!

It feels like summer just began...but you're right, it's almost time to start getting ready for school again. We keep Clorox Wipes handy year round since they are the most convenient way to keep out house germ-free. Thanks for sharing! #client
