I can't believe my little boy is 2.5 months old! He's an active one, that's for sure. He loves being held. He loves walking around and seeing things. He loves movement. Most of all, he LOVES to eat. You can tell this guy hasn't missed any meals.
With this being baby number three, I wasn't scared to venture out with him being 6 days old. I remember being couped up with my first baby for the first five weeks. Not with this guy!
Since then, I've learned a few things. Firstly, if you are grocery shopping and have been wandering in the store with your baby for 90-minutes, you are DEFINITELY pushing your luck 🙂
Next, if on the off chance your baby starts crying at the check out counter, give the cashier puppy eyes so that she'll hurry up the check out process.
Lastly, ensure you have a functional nursing cover on you (I'm a huge fan of Udder Covers)! I'm a huge advocate for nursing in public (and the ability to do it everywhere other than a stinkin' bathroom). And for any brick and mortar retailers out there reading, it would be really amazing if they have nursing (or even privacy) rooms for use for nursing and even prayer. I know all the cool kids/stores are doing it (see:Target's policy)! I mean, really. Would you want to eat in a bathroom?
3 Things to Look for in a Breastfeeding and Nursing Cover
First, make sure its breathable. You don't want fabric that suffocates baby. Especially if you are nursing during the summer months...your baby can get hot!
Secondly, you definitely want one with a wire on top so you can bend it to see and peek at baby all while being covered.
Lastly, a non-essential reason of course, it should be cute!
The one on the left is the Kai and the one on the right is the Jordan. Cute aren't they? Even better, you can use promocode SENGERSON on www.uddercovers.com to get $35 off site-wide!
