Easy DIY  Fire Truck Costume  for Toddlers

Best boxes are square diaper boxes for this Fire Truck costume.

Tip for Boxes

Cut a hole that is bigger than you think. It will be more comfy!

Hole for Costume

We used regular craft paint, but you could also spray paint it. (Notice you can "see through" to the box. Spray paint might have better coverage.

Paint to Use

We used regular construction paper to cut the windows and ladders of the Fire Truck costum. Using a machine like a Cricut also helps make the design more crisp.

Decor for Box

We added wheels with separate felt so it wouldn't scratch our toddler. Thick string was hot glued to represent the firehose.

Fun Costume Details

We used duct tape (in bright yellow) for the straps and used it to adhere to the box. Worked great!

The backside we just put "Fire Department" and it looks adorable!
