I cannot even handle it you guys! My oldest is going to preschool next year. Tear. I just went to a parent-teacher night to talk about everything they are going to learn: writing their names, graphing during circle time, going on their FIRST field trip to a pumpkin patch. I. cannot. handle. this. She was only a baby a few years ago...now look at this sassafras.
And this little guy will be going to daycare soon enough. You can tell he's excited right? (I might be just a little...kind of miss adult conversation.)
Ah school and daycare...it reminds me that I need to finish up prepping for the end of my maternity leave. What that means is that I am starting to prepare for my new routine of getting the girls ready for school and baby boy attending daycare for the first time. I'm going to learn how to be more efficient so that we're not late getting out of the door. Also, I'm going to need to be more productive during my grocery/home goods shopping trips so that I stock up on items so that I have them when I need it most. Let's face it, a quick errand to go get something is not "quick" when you have three kids.
Knowing that my kids love to play outdoors, I know that they will ultimately end up with a few bruises and skinned knees. Stocking up on Band-aid bandages and Neosporin is definitely a must for our household.
As cute as they may be, you know my baby boy's chunky little legs and boo boos will see some Band-aid days ahead.
Somehow, my Band-aid bandages disappear fairly quickly in our household. It couldn't possibly be from my kids using them as stickers right?
Stock up and be prepare is what I like to do - stocking up on bandages is a must! Especially with all different colors!
In addition to preparing for back to school and stocking up, I've decided that when that transition time for school comes, I am also going to start a new routine to not only take care of my family, but myself as well. I'm going to start eating healthier as well as start managing my weight. I've maintained an additional five pounds with each pregnancy/child. That's fifteen pounds total y'all! I'm on a mission to start managing my weight better.
For me, I'm starting off by keeping track of my steps. With the craziness in my life, its nice to have an app I can access on the go (on various devices) to help me get back on track.
How will you help your family stay healthy and active this year?
