As most people know, I was truly not a pet person – that is until we found ourselves with a few kittens. Let me back up for a minute for the backstory. This past March, my hubby and I had the garage door open doing a little spring cleaning. All of a sudden, we hear a meow. This black, orange, grey spotted cat came into our house. We felt sorry for the cat because she was so skinny and frail. Of course, we had hearts – so wanted to feed it. We didn’t have any food in the house – except for a can of Manwhich. So, that’s what we fed her (and left over sphaghetti). I know, I know..that’s bad. But we had to feed her. We fell in love with her – so we allowed her to stay inside at night, and she had to go outside during the day.
A few months later, we noticed that she was gaining weight. Great, we thought, she’s healthy. Well, her tummy got bigger – and then we felt these walnut sized bumps on her tummy. A few weeks later, we found ourselves with five kittens – two of which we gave away to a great guy at work. We couldn’t give the other three away, so we kept them because we had grown so attached to them. So now we have: Booger, Bob, and Curious George (Georgie for short).
All of them have personality – and we both love them equally. Georgie is always the curious one, always the first to sniff the new thing that comes his way. Well, this time, I was curious about HIM. I was working on editing some wedding photos, and Georgie plopped into the chair next to me. The next thing I knew, there was this soft little purr – he was sound asleep. In a really weird position. With his legs and paws both up. Too cute!!!
