Ansley is now 7.5 months old, and I’m 13 weeks pregnant. Crazy, I know. Life has been a whirlwind.
Sometimes, I just want to stay in bed on the weekend and sleep in. That hasn’t happened for a while. Ansley routinely wakes up around 4:30 – 5:00, our usual waking time during the work week. For soon to be parents out there, get your sleep now – because if you have a baby like mine, you’ll be sleep deprived for a while.
That’s the only downside. As she gets older, I’m loving every minute of it. She’s crawling towards our kitty cats and scaring them, making screaming sounds just to hear her own voice, and clapping her hands really fast like she’s flying to get attention.
She hasn’t gotten her teeth in yet. Some kids get them at 4 months – she hasn’t had any sprout. I see the white ridges in her mouth, so I’m sure they’re on their way. Even if they didn’t come in, the dental profession has done wonders with dentures. Can you imagine a baby with dentures? Ha!
Her baby pudge is coming in – too freakin cute. I think its because of switching from breast milk to formula. And maybe overfeeding her baby food. We gotta keep that under control.
As for Baby #2, I think I felt movement – but I’m not too sure. My craving for the Blue Bell Drumstick Ice Cream Cone with Peanut Topping kicked in at 8:30 in the morning. Sleeping is now getting to be a little uncomfortable because of my belly. Come to think of it, I don’t remember my belly being this big at 13 weeks the last go ’round. Maybe I’m just getting big….all that ice cream. Stupid ice cream.
All this to say – life is good even with a little…okay a lot…of sleep deprivation.
