Making Motherhood Amazing in this New Year

Pregnancy & Parenting· Working Mom Tips

2017 has been a whirlwind for this momma of four! We introduced a baby girl in our family in May.

Since then, our lives have been amazingly blessed, but chaotically fun at the same time.

In September, I returned to work to my corporate IT career as a project manager. At times, it feels like an insane balancing act where I’m constantly teetering on each side of the tightrope in managing household and career responsibilities. Lunch sometimes becomes a hassle, between pumping at work and juggling meetings and workouts over lunch, sometimes I find that I don’t even get time for lunch. In this New Year, I plan on saying “Yes!” to eating delicious food while ensuring that they have real nutritious ingredients.

I stocked up on Well Yes!® because their tagline is “A Soup in the Right Direction®” – which is definitely something I need in my life right now.

In my pantry at home and cube drawer at work, I keep on hand Chicken Noodle, Roasted Chicken Wild Rice, and Tomato Carrot Bisque for those days that I have no time to go out, but still want something that doesn’t compromise on flavor.

I love how all Well Yes!® soups are made with non-gmo ingredient and contain non-bpa lining.

It is oh-so delicious as part of my lunch at work.

I often buy several at home for nights when we have tons of extracurricular activities and need a convenient and delicious dinner. I often pair a baguette bread and a few steam veggies with any of the Well Yes!® soups!

With four littles all under seven, my husband and I work really hard to make sure we can juggle both of our careers while also being present at their school functions, keeping our home somewhat clean and making sure everyone has what they need.

The crazy part of all of this? We’re doing small home renovations at the same time! I mean, what else can we not add to all of this?! While he’s hammering away, I’m chasing my two year old around to make sure he’s not playing in the dirty diaper pail.

Sometimes, I feel guilty when I am hoping bedtime is around the corner, and I get super excited once they are tucked in bed because I finally have peace and quiet from them. Then, I see a little note that my seven year old wrote me that tells me I’m the best mom in the world. Even after all of my yelling, this little girl loves me. Mellllltttts my heart! That was a “Yes!” moment for me – a moment where at least someone thinks I’m doing something right.

As I look to my husband on some of what seemed our very long and hard days with the kids, I realized that we haven’t had much time just with each other this year. We also realized that since our first was born, we have not had a family vacation! These two things are so very important!

So in 2018, we are saying “Yes!” to more date nights and a family vacation. At the beginning of 2018, we are penciling in more date nights and finding a babysitter in advance as well as saving up for a big family vacation to a magical place!

And I thought I had a lot on my plate. I have no idea how you do everything you do and make it look easy. You have such a beautiful family. #client
