Baby Registry Favorites: 6 to 9 Months

It’s time for another edition of my roundup of my top ten favorite baby essentials! This baby registry series began because I wanted to share my tried and true products after having four babes.

Favorite Baby Registry Items for Six to Nine Months

Stacker sets. Whether you get the crunch cube set or the ring with the poles, stacker sets help your babies with hand eye coordination. These are some of the best toys when they first figure out how to grip things!

Body suits and sleepers. If you had an late spring or early summer baby, chances are your babe is having to sleep through the night without a blanket. Having body suits lined with fleece on hand for 7 days of the weeks will set aside your parenting fear of your little babe being cold in their crib. I typically purchase enough sleepers for an entire week, knowing that I’ll have a blow out or two to change from.

Baby food in pouches. I wish these existed as broadly as they do today with my first child! These pouches will save you so much cleanup time. Babies already know how to suck, these baby food pouches are a great transition from bottle to food. It also saves up a lot of cleanup time because there is less of a mess since it is going directly in their mouths.

Vibrating stuffed animal. All four of my kids LOVED this vibrating stuffed animal, and they still do! You can get stuffed animals that provide a calming vibration to use at bedtime as well.

Bounce and ride anything. As they begin to sit up on their own between six and nine months, having a ride on pony, bouncing elephant or any animal you can think of will help them learn balance as they are riding on it (and pretty soon, you’ll be able to play horsey with them).

Teether with lots of texture. Oh the wonderment of getting teeth. Teethers that you can refrigerate and/or freeze will be something you definitely want to stock up on before your baby gets into the teething phase. Teethers help relieve the pressure of their teeth coming in.

Pop Up Toys. My kids learned hand eye coordination with these popup toys!

Bath Toys. My little Lorelei loves her bath and her bath toys. Now that I think about it, all my kids absolutely loved bath time. Bath toys are a must!!

Learning walker. As they begin to pull up, a learning walker will help guide them around safely as your babe starts practicing his walking skills.

VTech VM5251 5” Digital Video Baby Monitor with Full-Color and Automatic Night Vision. This digital video baby monitor rounds out this baby favorites collection.

With my first child, I had an audio monitor and I will say that I went in her room fairly frequently just to make sure I was checking to see if it was on.

Having the VM5251 provided me peace of mind because I can see my babes on screen.

It has an oversized parent unit with full-color video so you can see everything in the room! I love the temperature sensor, 9-level sound indicator, full motion video and lullabies that it has.

As my little one starts developing skills to move around in the crib, I’ll be able to use the VM5251 to watch her. You can get the VM5251 at Target!

I also have a camera that I set in our playroom to watch our kids!

What baby essentials would you add to this list of baby favorites for six to nine month olds?

Great round-up! I love that the VTech baby monitor offers a temperature sensor option. Thanks for sharing!
