I know, its been two months since I've updated this blog. And more than that since I've updated the photography blog. Two babies, and a side photography gig during the fall keeps this momma busy!
I've been doing TONS of fall family shoots - which I'm loving. It makes me want to run back to my little family when I'm done shooting =) This fall, we were able to get some family photos done ourselves by the talented Lacey Whitmer. I felt so bad for her, because it was literally a thirty minute shoot because both girls would not cooperate.
I love this photo. We look happy right? Well, I will forever remember this day of me yelling at my hubby to put on non-stained pants, Ansley not keeping her flower in her hair, and Aubrey freaking out. I was talking to one of my co-workers the other day about family photos, and he said he remembered his family photos that way too. I mean, I'm a photographer - so you would think I would know how to handle my family right? Oh, how wrong I was.
Let's do some updates shall we?
The Aubster is now 16 weeks - can you believe it? She still doesn't have a crib yet - we just ordered it - so we're hoping to get it soon. She is quickly growing out of her bassinet! Also, we kind of need to now let her cry it out. The girl is fussy. I mean, I thought people had told me that if you get one fussy baby, the Man upstairs would do the opposite for the second one. That didn't happen for us. We're hoping to get a family video done with her in it just like we did for Ansley.
Her room is half done, we've painted it "Porphyry Pink". Its a dark salmonly pink color. And I just got both girls chandeliers. Pretty awesome - I'll post the before and after pictures soon enough.
Ansley is now 17.5 months. She is learning how to use flash cards and basically repeat every single word after us. Its pretty cool. What's not cool is her clinginess. Sigh. Can you imagine having a 17.5 month on one hip and a 16 week in the other arm?
Her room is now painted a light lavender color thanks to my amazing mother in law! We are actually taking her brown furniture out and giving it to Aubs, and giving Ansley the new white furniture that we just ordered. We also ordered a chandelier for her....I'm kind of stoked. However, kind of sad at the same time because I know how Ryan procrastinates on my honey do list stuff.
Halloween in our new house - we had 20 trick or treaters! And I spent $40 on candy. What was really cool was EVERY SINGLE KID in our new neighborhood said THANK YOU. Three even complimented Mannie, our momma cat, saying how pretty she was (she's not). I love this little city!
I should have just given the last kiddo the whole basket of cady, cause now I'm stucking munching on them and making my waistline bigger. Next year, I'm thinking about just buying 20 full size candy bars and giving them out.
Anywho, how do you like my girls' costumes? Ansley was a flower princess (a costume I got on sale last year for 50% off) and Aubrey was a lady bug (last minute costume). I tried to take photos of both of them together, but that was a hard feat.
I still need to show our lawn situation. Its pretty awesome. More updates to come!
