Our family had such a great time at Great Wolf Lodge Kansas City KS, we can't wait to go back and spend more time - especially in the water!

As a Kansas City native, I'll admit. I had not been to Great Wolf Lodge's Kansas City Resort until this past weekend, and I WORK ACROSS THE STREET. I'm kicking myself because this is an amazing resort for the family. There is NO SHORTAGE of things to do there and we literally wore the kids (and ourselves) out before we could even do ALL THE THINGS.

After our Orlando trip and cruise, our family of six has been craving time to swimming. Great Wolf Lodge was a great staycation and a weekend escape for our family. With all this crazy weather we've been having and being cooped up inside, it's been a much needed getaway for the kids.
The resort was beautifully decorated in a wilderness theme and very family friendly.

We were graciously invited to preview their Summer Camp-In program that will be running from Memorial Day to Labor Day as well as check out the Paw Pass that had a ton of activities for the kids (spoiler: the kids absolutely loved it). I'll talk more about their Summer Camp-In program shortly.

Day Pass at Great Wolf Lodge Resort in Kansas City, KS Review
The Great Wolf Lodge Resort in Kansas City is located in the Legends Area of the metro. It's about 40 minutes outside of the Kansas City airport. It is in close range to a ton of amazing shopping (freaking incredible outlet stores) and the Kansas Speedway!
Our family didn't stay the night, so I couldn't tell you about the hotel room, but I can talk about all the activities that your family can do. I mean, that's probably what you want to know considering that you shouldn't be spending all your time in the hotel room right?
Water Park at Great Wolf Lodge
We visited the water park LAST. They had so many activities in the water park, from babies to big kids!

The resort in Kansas has a zero entry area called the Raccoon Lagoon that my younger two enjoyed running into the water spouts.

My kids loved the Whooping Hollow slides. My two year old went down it twenty times (and I'm not exaggerating).

Fort Mackenzie was awesome for all of my kids. The water bucket splash was so much fun.

The Crooked Creek lazy river was one of my 7 and 8 year olds favorite because they were able to free swim and practice their skills!

Bear Paw Ice Cream
I mean, what's a good swim without ice cream? The kids loved picking up a scoop of their favorite flavor at the ice cream attraction inside.
One of the things that we got to preview was theirIt is pretty much included in your stay (no extra cost) if you stay at any Great Wolf Lodge (all 16 will be in on it) during this time period.

Great Wolf Lodge Candy Store
This was the cutest store and my kids loved getting a cup of their favorite candy to snack on during the day.

Northern Lights Arcade
This was actually one of our first stops because we didn't want to wear them out before swimming. Our kids absolutely loved getting tickets and trading them in.

Creation Station
There is store that's similar to a "Build-A-Bear" store, but Great Wolf Lodge style! It was so cute. The kids loved stuffing the animals and hugging them before putting the final touches on them!

In the Creation Station, they also do mani's and pedi's, which we didn't end up doing because we didn't have time!

Summer Camp-In
Great Wolf Lodge is also taking the family tradition of camping and giving you that experience within the hotel. You can book specific themed rooms that have a tent / camping theme set up in them (they will sell it super fast!).
While they normally have TONS of activities going on for kids like crafts, character greetings (they have their own specific Great Wolf Lodge characters), and story time, during the Summer Camp-In time, they will also haveTrailblazer challenges which are mini challenges for kids, Character Breakfasts, dancing, campfire stories, S’mores, and a BBQ!

Summary of Great Wolf Lodge Kansas City KS Experience
Overall, we had a blast the 6 hours we were there. We honestly had planned only 2 hours for a day trip, but there was just so much to do that we stayed and had a blast.
