Sharing a Super Bowl delicious tablescape for the big game with a Snickers cookie cup recipe.
The best way to celebrate the Super Bowl is with snacks, dips, and appetizers to feed a hungry crowd.
With three kids in tow, my game plan was to prepare something simple and easy. While the husband created a field goal out of PVC for the kids (and our tablescape football display), I started in the kitchen to feed everyone’s hungry bellies.
The goal (no pun intended) was to make each entree a 2-3 step process. Today, I’m sharing you a few of these recipes and how I put them together.
First, I wanted to share with you two amazingly easy recipes for dessert – a SNICKERS Cookie Cup.
Get some cookie dough and roll it into balls. Place them into a muffin pan. Put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
After pulling them out of the oven, stick a fun size SNICKERS bar into the middle. The cookies will mold around the SNICKERS bar. The chocolate will slowly ooze and meld with the cookies into a delectable treat!
It is seriously delicious.
I then also took Kim Six’s recipe for a Starburst Creamsicle Milkshake that is to die for! It too was an easy 3 step process, literally. Melt the Starburst in your favorite flavor. Then, mix in a few scoops of vanilla ice cream!
For the main course, I always try to do two options. This year, we chose wings, smokies in blankets, and hot turkey croissants – guaranteed to be crowd pleasers. Each literally took about 10 minutes of prep time.
With the wings, I put a little olive oil in a plastic zipper bag with some of my favorite dry rub. Then, I placed it on a rack in the oven for 25 minutes, and they were perfect.
For the smokies in blankets, I just split each triangle from a refrigerated crescent dinner rolls and rolled them up in there. After I took out the wings, I popped the smokies in blankets in the oven for 10 minutes.
Since I cannot get enough of the deliciousness of flaky croissants, I decided to make some croissant swiss turkey sandwiches for the main course. I used prepackaged croissants.
Next, I added Swiss cheese and some turkey deli meat. I placed the sandwich in the oven for about 3 minutes, long enough for the cheese to melt. EASY, y’all!
And just so that I didn’t have to break out any additional dinnerware for my football fanatics, I wrapped it up!
And ‘les not forget about popcorn and Skittles! These are so easy to make and divy up in snack size portion. Almond bark, popcorn, and Skittles – can we say yums?!
You melt the almond bark, cover popped popcorn into the almond bark, and top it off with Skittles. For the Skittles you don’t use, just put a container out. I promise you they will disappear!
And while you’re at it, leave out the M&M’S for another entree.
