It's been six years since I've written about my DIY laundry detergent [HERE]. Four kids later, I'm still using this recipe, but without measuring and with the addition of OxyClean.
With my family of six, we go through laundry like no one's business. A week's worth of laundry means seven loads every week. It's insane.
From my business casual work clothes, Ryan's grease stained shirts from working in a mechanic shop, soccer & gymnastics clothes, and daycare sheets and blankets - this recipe gets all that out and more!

Benefits for this DIY Laundry Detergent Recipe
It's cheap! Literally under $20, and if you have a family of six, it will last you six months! It saves me about $400 a year!
It works in HE machines. I would make sure you read up on your own to ensure that this recipe will work for your specific machine.
You can substitute your soap! I like to substitute Dove sensitive soap because my husband has sensitive skin, and that bar soap works best for him.
Recipe for DIY Easy Homemade Laundry Detergent for Sensitive Skin
2 bars of your favorite soap
4 pounds of Borax
1 box of Super Washing Soda
1 container of Oxy Clean
1. Grate the soap! I got tired of using the fine side of my grater, and found that the big grater worked just fine with my machine.
2. Mix everything together and put it in a jar!
3. Use a tablespoon of the mixture for each load. Two if it is an extra stinky load.
That's it! I hope you love it. Pin the image below here!
