It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are almost upon us! This week, I was getting pretty festive after listening to an unnamed boy band's holiday music with the girls (who loved it as well). In the spirit of preparing for guests, I decided to update the guest bathroom with a little holiday decor. Here's an awesome tutorial on how you can use toilet paper rolls as holiday decor AS well as a hidden stash of toilet paper in case you run out!
Supplies for DIY Rag Ball Ornament
Charmin toilet paper
Ribbon, burlap, or rag strips
Tuck and wrap the strips of ribbon, burlap, or rag strips all the way around the roll.
Skip a space as you are wrapping.
It will start to take shape into a round ball.
Next, go around a second time and fill in the space that you skipped. Tuck and cut the last ribbon, burlap or rag into the Charmin roll. And then you are done!
Not only does this project look GREAT in a guest bathroom, but remember you have that extra stash of Charmin toilet paper!
Loving this ribbon plaid print, not too bold. Tip: You can do this for Thanksgiving and put a stem INSIDE of the roll and sit it up as PUMPKINS! You can also fray the edges of the ribbon to give it that nice, rustic, old-time look.
Mixed with a pre-made twig ball, it looks awesome!
