Learn about my favorite places to shop for home decor.
With hunting season finally over, the hubs is finally home to finish up painting! For those that follow my blog (thank you!), you know that when we purchased our home, there were tons of cosmetic blemishes that would take a while to remedy. Fortunately, the hubs is handy and I am patient (for now).
Two and a half years later, we are still trying to finish the interior wall painting project. The previous owners/real estate agent did a good "quick" job at hiding the imperfections, which we fell for. I mean, when you buy a house, you probably only go inside a handful of times. Well, we didn't notice the "painting over blemishes with 7 year old paint". Sigh. This was not only the walls, but doors, trim, ceiling - insane! So of course, its on our list to redo.
This Spring (2015), Ryan has finally finished up our foyer and our hallway space. I'm super excited to do the reveal real soon. I've posted some sneak peeks on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter - so I know you guys are excited! I just wanted to share some of the boards for the remodels I'm about to reveal real soon:
I've also been asked where I get my inspiration....that would be paper catalogs from:
I will say that Restoration Hardware is TOTALLY out of my price range. But, a girl can window shop right? I keep pretty much every catalog from Ballard Designs and Pottery Barn so I can refer to them the previous year if I'm trying to plan out seasonal decor.
Here are the places I ACTUALLY shop:
When I shop at those stores, I find that I can sometimes get a version of what spurred my inspiration with a unique twist. Its a amazing what a little time "shopping" can do to spur your ideas and get your creative decorating juices flowing!
Where do you get your inspiration for home decor? Where do you shop?
