As I am writing this blog post, I am listening to my 9-month old crying. We're implementing the Ferber method - cold turkey. My baby boo has not been sleeping through the night anymore unless she is sleeping between us! She still gets up in the middle of the night for a feeding (4-6 ounces). Ah!
Two months ago, she was sleeping through the night in her own crib. I don't know what happened to change it. So I googled it - and a small change in her routine could have sparked it. Yet - I know of no change in her routine. Sigh.
So tonight, I'm going to do it. I am not going to respond to her whimpering and whining by scooping her up and having her sleep in our bed. We will see how that goes 🙂
Don't get me wrong, I love being a mommy. Sometimes, I just want to be a mommy with a good night's sleep.
Being 20 weeks pregnant with a 9-month old is challenging - don't let anyone tell you otherwise. But with a great husband like mine, its manageable!
Update - 10 minutes into this post, it sounds like she's finally settled down. Probably in her usual sleep position - with her head down and butt up in the air. Let's hope she stays this way so I can sleep in tomorrow.
Is there a magic button to make this happen without tears every night?
