Ryan and I had our babymoon in Maui this past January. It was a blast in a glass (for those that follow Jersey Shore)! At 24 weeks pregnant and counting, I was active as ever. Ryan adamantly stated that he did not want me to be in a bikini - so I didn't...for the first few days 🙂 Here are the photos from our adventures.

Below is a photo we took at the Haleakala crater at sunrise. We woke up at 4:00 AM (on vacation mind you) to see a this mind blowing event. My lens caught some sunflare, but it was an amazing site to see. It was soo worth it, even to hear Ryan moan and groan about how early it was.

The elevation up here was 10,023 feet and the temperature was below 40 F. Can you imagine going from 80 to 40 within a 40 minute drive! Yes, my hair was a hot mess because it was so windy!

And just for those non-believers of how cold it really was, check out this photo I took of people bundled up taking photos. Yes, I cheated - I was inside a container room watching these people wait 🙂

After we did the sunrise trip, we went on the road to Hana despite everyone's warning for pregnant woman getting sick on its windy roads. I did not get sick - so those of you who are pregnant and wanting to go, I'm proof that I made it without getting sick. The road to Hana is known notoriously for its scenic drive and waterfalls along the way. This is a photo that I took at our first waterfall stop. Cute 🙂

Okay, I took the photo pointing at my belly to tell baby he/she was there too 🙂 And this is Ryan, being Ryan.

Here is an HDR photo I took of one of the waterfalls . . . just an amazing sight.

Again, another waterfall on the road to Hana that proved too hazardous for me to get close too. But, we got a picture of Ryan.

This is the beautiful sunset view that we had from our view of our hotel at the Grand Wailea (a Waldorf Astoria resort). It was just gorgeous.

The resort was right on Wailea beach, where we saw TONS of whales. I didn't bring a zoom lens to take photos of them. We brought some binocs, and soon realized how awesome it was timing wise that we were there when whales came to mate! They were flapping their fins on the water!!

I made Ryan pose for a photo with our lei's. Rumor has it its bad luck to wear lei's when your pregnant, but it was just so pretty! Ryan had a lei made out of some other sort of leaf. I think he was jealous of my pretty one...that's probably why he has the long face!

So, this is me in the bathroom of the resort taking a photo of myself....And me doing it again to also prove that Ryan sucks on vacation - who checks their work email on VACATION in beautiful MAUI?? Okay, I'm guilty too 🙂

In summary, an awesome four day babymoon in Maui. We'll probably not be travelling for a while with Baby Nickerson on the way.
