Yesterday, I dropped Ansley at my mother's house instead of daycare. That's a solid 40 minute out of the way commute for me both directions. They really wanted to see her. I said, "Okay, no problem." So, I get back from a bad day at work - and arrive at my parent's house.
My mom says to me, "Yeah, she just woke up from a nap."
I say to her, "Mom - I love you. But I've told you a million times that Ansley should never nap right before I pick her up - she will cry all the way home!!"
My mom says, "No she won't. She doesn't cry for me."
What happens? She cries hysterically all the way home on my 40 minute commute that turned into a 60 minute commute because of rush hour.
What's the point of this post? My tip to momma's: Do not let your baby sleep or nap prior to a long trip in the car - you'll be very sorry.
Not that this has anything to do with this post, here's a photo for you of my beautiful baby girl. Even though I'm a photographer, for whatever reason, I cannot get my own child to stay still for a portrait. Tis life.
