Where did our baby girl go?! Aubbie (known also as Aubrey) turns THREE tomorrow. These three years have flown by in a blink of an eye.

This little girl is beautiful as well as smart. She's got these big beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous brown hair that glistens with a beautiful gold highlight when the sun shines just right. Aubrey's got a stubbornness that rivals that of her dad's. She is quite reserved and loves to play on her own.
Lets talk about a few things we learned about her this year as she's growing into her own:
- She loves eating ketchup. With everything.
- Most of all, she loves eating. Period. Check out this belly:

- She has a love for popcorn. That's what she wanted for her birthday.
- She loves her sleep. She is an amazing napper (she could sleep for 4 hours straight if we let her). She is also the last to get out of bed every morning. True story: She came down to our room one night for something, and we told her to go back to bed. The next morning, Ryan saw that she didn't even make it up to her room - she was asleep on the staircase landing.

-
- She was tall enough this year for most of the rides at Worlds of Fun!

- She's got some major OCD tendencies. For example, when she is eating her dinner, every entree must be in its own compartment separated. Most recently, on Independence Day, she had the supervised responsibility of laying out some fireworks. She did so very meticulously and ensured they all lined up perfectly in a row.
- To add to those tendencies, she has some funny behavior. Every night we give the girls coins to put in their piggybank based on their behavior and what they've done to earn their keep. Aubrey will take her coins, line them up on the ground next to her piggybank, and put them in slowly one at a time. Each time she puts in the coin, she looks at you, smiles, and drops it in. It takes about a minute for each coin. Our night time routine takes forever with her.
- Aubrey has natural dance moves. Right after she turned two, we put her in dance class. This past winter, she made it onto the Nutcracker playbill as a mouse and had her first "big stage" performance. Most recently, she made it to her first dance recital and did an amazing job!

-
- She loves to repeat things over and over and over and over again - enough to drive anyone insane.
- I think she purposefully is trying to not annunciate her words. For example, she still calls her sister Ansie and school "cool".
- She's not a very good sharer, which also means she knows how to drive Ansley crazy.
- She loves the color orange.
- She loves helping with laundry and other random house chores.
- Aubrey is still learning what gentle means when it comes to her baby brother.

- She prefers Dora over Mickey.
- She can rock sunglasses like no one's business.

Aubrey doesn't talk very much. But whens he does, she's asking for food or a snack (yes, we feed her). The most memorable moment with her was when Ryan was super sick earlier this year. Being the sweet darling she is, she went up to Ryan. This is what transpired:
Aubbie (in toddler speak): I hope you feel better Daddy.
Ryan: Oh, you like buffet butter?
The second most memorable moment for us was when she came out wearing a pink sparkly dress. Ryan and I looked at each other and shook our heads. In our minds, we had her pinned down as a tom boy because she used to love wearing pants. She didn't really care for changing clothes (like her sister did) or wearing dresses. In that very moment, when she came out wearing that pink sparkly dress, we just knew times were a changin'. She was changing and growing up. Tear.

To our little lobster (rhymes with Aubster),
We love you so much and can't wait for what you have in store for us when you become a threenager! Love you with all our hearts. Mom & Dad
They grow up fast don't they? Love you Aubbie, Aubster, Lobster, Aubs, Oobie.
